Bamboozle Theatre have been delivering innovative projects in partnership with schools for 25 years, developing a unique, tested and proven pedagogical approach in the process. Specialists in engaging with learning disabled and autistic children and young people, the company’s offer to schools includes a regular programme of touring theatre, CPD training for school staff and arts practitioners and bespoke projects which help schools to use the Bamboozle Approach to unlock engagement and learning across the curriculum.
The company’s work has gained international recognition, because of the proven impact of the Bamboozle Approach. In 2018/19 alone this has led to Bamboozle touring work and delivering training across 3 continents.
Back in the UK, Bamboozle’s bespoke partnership with Lakeside School in Hertfordshire has helped the school to achieve an Outstanding accreditation from the National Autistic Society. “We have worked in collaboration with Bamboozle who run high quality autism training which we believe is cutting edge work […] This has led to a qualitative change in our teaching practice and thus our curriculum […] We have shared this training with parents and it has been very well received. The County behaviour service are also very interested in the principles behind it and are exploring collaboration with us.” (Lynette Johnson, Head Teacher).
