This is Mrs Smith’s home where her unique presence is felt in every authentic object, as if she has just stepped out for a moment. This is the story of one woman, in one home, through one century.

Throughout creative activities for schools, families, and youth groups, we aim to tell stories of every day life, creating feelings of empathy and connection to everyday people from the past.

For primary schools we offer school trip workshops, loan boxes, and outreach offers. With a cross curricular approach we make an ideal Local History project and are a great way to explore changes over the past 150 years. We also look to support projects in secondary schools and high education collages. Offering resources, talks and workshops crafted to meet the needs of specific class projects.
