TMC’s Mighty Hub already features the British Library in relation to ‘Discovering Children’s Books’, but the whole organisation is an astonishing national resource of ideas, activities, creative suggestions and opportunities with programmes for Primary, Secondary and FE learners, all of which encourage curiosity, creativity and exploration, enriching the curriculum and developing lifelong learning skills.
The British Library runs CPD events to support teachers to develop subject knowledge and reinvigorate classroom practice, but don’t worry – if you’re not able to visit the famous St Pancras building, you can still engage with the programme through virtual sessions and webinars as well as digital activities that can be used at any time to fit your teaching schedule.
The Library’s web spaces are brimming with ideas and inspiration for the classroom, from Gothic literature to medieval history and from World War One to feminism. Explore a wealth of online learning resources on the website and keep up to date with them on Twitter.
