One of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations, Drake Music is a specialist charity and leader in music, disability and technology. It passionately believes in the power of music-making for disabled people to increase self-confidence and resilience, build social skills, networks and transferable skills and of course to bring joy.
The organisation works with a huge range of partners and other organisations, including Music Hubs, to offer learning and music-making opportunities, including peripatetic lessons, whole class teaching, inclusive ensembles and creative projects, so that disabled people can learn and develop as musicians – from primary school, through to adulthood. Drake also works with the arts and music education sectors to make them more inclusive.
Drake offers training and professional development opportunities for music teachers & leaders, with a particular focus on using technology to improve access to music making.
