LOV stands for ‘Lincolnshire One Venues’ and is both a network of 9 venues (with projects run via the University of Lincoln’s Centre for Creativity & Culture) and a consortium of 4 of those venues which – until the end of March 2023 – are collectively a single National Portfolio Organisation with Arts Council England.
To mark the end of the 4 venues’ 10 years as an NPO and also to celebrate the wider network’s 10 years creating opportunities for people across the county, the 4 LOV venues are staging a series of free special afternoon / evening events in March 2023 called ‘LOV Your Venue’. These events will be ‘open day’-style events with live performance, artwork, workshop opportunities and in some of them, projection and illuminations too. Some of the venues are also running free creative arts workshops for schools and groups during January & February.
Fri 3 March – Stamford Arts Centre
Sat 11 March – South Holland Centre, Spalding
Sun 12 March – Louth Riverhead Theatre
Thu 23 March – Guildhall Arts Centre, Grantham
The venues are committed to carrying on with their creative community-driven work even after they have left the portfolio and however you look at the map of Lincolnshire, are likely to remain key to delivering cultural ambition in this huge region of England.
